Two worlds collide and SolidGoldFX has crammed the result into one tight little stompbox: the Lysis MKII. This octave fuzz blends strings and synthesis to superb effect, via thick and fully-tweakable resonant filters, different polyphonic voicings, and swirling LFOs. Each of the adjustable waveforms (sawtooth, sine, square) come with eleven presets, setting you up with an immense stack of 33 modulation settings to choose from. Meanwhile, the base of the effect is generated by a discreet JFET preamp with a high-gain fuzz-circuit, and from there, the signal is fed through the polyphonic voice and filter generator. Handmade in Montreal in Canada, the SolidGoldFX Lysis MKII mashes up the analogue with the digital to deliver the best of both worlds.
